Sup QT: Adriana

image.jpeg

Sup QT is Tiny Fix’s dating column for introducing single people who ride bikes to our audience, which includes a lot of single people who ride bikes. Y’all know you’re gonna spend Valentine’s Day at The Empty Bottle trying to scam on Handlebar waitresses before collapsing into bed alone and sobbing into your dog. Why not go on a real date for once?

Adriana is a sweet, shy heterosexual female who’s looking to wade into the pool of eligible Chicago cyclists to find a date. Email her to set up a date, and read on to see what to talk about over vegan milkshakes.

Sup QT: Michigan Mountain Biker Seeks Chicago Cyclist

image.jpeg

Michelle is a cute girl who contacted us because she feels a kinship with Tiny Fix. Like us, she’s a rad girl who doesn’t put up with any bullshit and loves riding her bike. Unlike us, she’s five nine. It weirds her out a little to be the taller person in a relationship (an issue none of us have ever really had to deal with), but she’s down to accept dates with dudes who are shorter than her because she’s easy going like that.

She’s from Michigan, she likes mountain biking, and you can woo her by emailing her. That’s all it takes! Can we recommend taking her to Maria’s bar in Bridgeport so she can cop a gluten free beer, and discussing all your weird favorite places in Chicago?

If you want to be featured in Sup QT so you can cop your own bike kid feels, email me with the answers to these questions, plus an alluring photo of yourself.

Read on to find out more about Michelle. And then email her, you pussy.

Submit Your Sup QT Dating Profile

image.jpeg

If you’re anything like us, naked people in your bed are the only form of heat you can afford in the winter besides bonfires and standing over subway grates. Being single in winter sucks.

Let Tiny Fix help you out! Sup QT is our attempt to profile single Chicagoans who ride bikes so that other single cyclists out there could find a cute person to snuggle with during those long cold nights.

Previously, we’ve profiled Steve Vance, a tall, slim, fit, smart as a whip gay dude who is passionate about urban planning and transportation who would love for other like minded gentleman to email him or hit him up on Twitter.

Multiple Tiny Fix girls are also happy to vouch for Joe Sak, who is one of the sweetest, most supportive, enthusiastic dudes we know. I know that sounds like we’re all in love with him, but sadly it’s all platonic and we’re waiting for a rad girl to drop him an email so we can live vicariously.

Please email me with your own Sup QT submission so I can make you look like a glamorous superstar anyone would be stoked to take out for pie or a drink or whatever. I need a decent photo of you and for you to answer the following questions, more or less.

Sup QT Special Edition: KC Needs a Partner for Sadie Hawkins

Hey so it’s bout time one of us Tiny Fix girls gets to enjoy being in an alley cat, not just throwing one.  But since the other girls will be busy working at the Block Party Bike Jam showin off some of our awesome new merch (made by yours truly) and generally helping out with the Bicycle Film Festival, I’m in need of a partner for the Sadie Hawkins Style Ride.

This is what I wore last year, it was our first alley cat ever. And we threw together those costumes hung over an hour before registration. Needless to say, we won “top rookies”

Now I can’t promise we’d win the top speed categories, I’m fast, but not that fast.  But I can offer my skills as a master seamstress with access to an entire fabrication shop at work, so we could have some badass costumes.  For example, here’s the Halloween costume I threw together Friday evening in like 45 minutes at work:

Chicago flag fairy wings, sure why not?

So if you think you’ve got a killer costume idea, or wanna see just how fast I can try to pedal my little legs to keep up with you, shoot me an email at kc@tinyfixbikegang.com or DM me on twitter @kc_winter

Be Kaz's Roomie!

Hey y’all, with my fellow Tiny Fixers’ permission, I’m using Tiny Fix to solicit for a roommate. Come live with me in my awesome house! There’s a huge basement with tons of room for bike storage and work benches for wrenching. I would be SO HAPPY if I could find a cool bike kid to live with.

IMG_0277

The space: a bomb-ass 4-bedroom 2-bath brick bungalow in the heart of West Rogers Park (Devon and Rockwell). Convenient to the 155 Devon bus, 84 Peterson bus, and the 49B Western bus which get you do the Red Line and Brown Line. There’s garage parking, a fully-fenced back yard with deck, grill, and fire pit; living room; dining room; well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, etc; and huge basement with free laundry including a fancy brand new dryer with crazy steam functions I don’t even understand yet, and plenty of room for storage and work space. Hardwood floors throughout. The bedroom for rent is on the first floor, and you’d have primary use of the first floor full bathroom. The bedroom isn’t furnished but the rest of the house is. There’s cable, internet, and a home security system.
